Child Abuse Council

Since 1977, the Child Abuse Council in Tampa, Florida, has been working towards its mission to stop abuse that is occurring, prevent abuse before it occurs and rebuild the child and family after abuse. Through their programs, parents receive hands-on training, support and the information needed to face the many challenges and pleasures of raising healthy, happy and well adjusted children.

National Center for Children Exposed to Violence

It is the mission of the National Center for Children Exposed to Violence to increase the capacity of individuals and communities to reduce the incidence and impact of violence on children and families; to train and support the professionals who provide intervention and treatment to children and families affected by violence; and, to increase professional and public awareness of the effects of violence on children, families, communities and society.

Child Abuse Prevention Network

The Child Abuse Prevention Network is the Internet Nerve Center for professionals in the field of child abuse and neglect. Child maltreatment, physical abuse, psychological maltreatment, neglect, sexual abuse, and emotional abuse and neglect are our key areas of concern. We provide unique and powerful tools for all workers to support the identification, investigation, treatment, adjudication, and prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Child Welfare League of America 

CWLA is an association of nearly 800 public and private nonprofit agencies that assist more than 3.5 million abused and neglected children and their families each year with a range of services.

Child Abuse Prevention Services

Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) is a not for profit, volunteer organization founded in 1982 to respond to the growing problem of child abuse and neglect.

The Children's Bureau

Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence works towards ending violence through public awareness, policy development, and support for Florida's domestic violence centers. Serving Florida's 41 domestic violence centers, FCADV runs Florida's toll-free domestic violence hotline (1-800-500-1119), maintains a resource library, and develops posters, brochures, safety plans, and other resources.

Family Violence Prevention Fund
 

The Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) has worked to end violence against women and children around the world. Instrumental in developing the landmark Violence Against Women Act passed by Congress in 1994, the FVPF has continued to break new ground by reaching new audiences including men and youth, promoting leadership within communities to ensure that violence prevention efforts become self-sustaining, and transforming the way health care providers, police, judges, employers and others address violence.
